What we did:
Simple tactile extension. Our Fabric of Society installation had two key components. First was our gorgeous twine globe that acted as a visual metaphor in the Bourke St window. Second was our any-touch technology which seamlessly (pardon the pun) made Telstra’s in-store activation tactile, fun and hands-on.
Why it worked:
The idea that all of us (the entire world), are interwoven in a giant network is quiet conceptual. Our objective was to get customers to think about this network and how it plays a real role in
Enter the Fabric Globe and the Big Squishy Buttons.
While the Fabric Globe worked as a visual metaphor for the Telstra Network, the Big Squishy Buttons actually got people hands-on with the concept of The Internet of Things (IoT). It used their natural childhood inquisitiveness to get them engaged with complex thoughts in a playful manner. And that’s why it worked. It delivered a REAL experience which helped people understand a conceptual network.
