Melbourne’s Bourke St. has a pretty amazing reputation for award-winning window displays. And our Interactive Christmas for Telstra is part of that award-winning legacy.
So what made our window so special? Well, across 3 windows we installed: a digital fireplace, a digital snowflake generator, an interactive christmas tree, a talk-to-Santa-booth and finally, a cheeky christmas selfie photo booth. Christmassy enough for you?
Why it worked:
Christmas, just like Telstra, is one of those institutions people have a set set of expectations for. There’s an assumption of traditional values, a predefined tone and simply because of its familiarity, it feels safe.
Telstra were also aware of this and wanted to use their Bourke St. windows to help rebrand their image. And that’s exactly why this installation worked so well. Each component drew on tradition but gave it an innovative fresh twist. Its reliance on innovation and technology cemented Telstra as an industry leader with a vision for the future while maintaining one foot in the trused, familiar past.
